It is important that you do monthly backups for your WordPress website. Should there be a severe malware intrusion that will totally shut down your website, a backup can be your only savior to restoring your website back.
There are few ways of doing so.
1. Get an hosting company that provides auto backup of your web files. Namecheap and Hostinger are good choices for this.
2. Get a codeguard subscription from your hosting company. : Codeguard is a backup software usually used to do daily/weekly or monthly backups on websites.
3. Get a backup plugin like All in One Migration, Updraft , Duplicator or Vaultpress
4. Do a manual backup : Copy and extract your web files from your cpanel as well as the MySql Data and save manually into your computer.
